A quick, energizing Phase 4 option pairing hot protein coffee with crisp, fresh apple slices.

This quick, energizing breakfast pairs protein coffee with fresh fruit for a simple, low-effort start to your morning. The protein powder adds creaminess and staying power, while the apple brings natural sweetness and fiber. It’s ideal for busy Phase 4 days when you want something fast, light, and balanced.

Ingredients

Women’s Serving (~140–160 kcal)

  • 1 scoop approved protein powder
  • 8–12 oz hot brewed coffee
  • ½ medium apple, sliced
  • Optional: cinnamon or vanilla extract

Men’s Serving (~200–230 kcal)

  • 1.5 scoops approved protein powder
  • 10–14 oz hot brewed coffee
  • 1 small apple, sliced
  • Optional: cinnamon or vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Brew your coffee as desired.
  2. Add the protein powder to a blender or shaker cup.
  3. Carefully pour the hot coffee over the powder.
  4. Blend or shake until smooth and creamy (blending gives the best texture).
  5. Pour into a mug and sprinkle with cinnamon or add a splash of vanilla if desired.
  6. Serve with sliced apple on the side.

Tips

  • For iced protein coffee: brew coffee, chill, then blend with protein powder and ice.
  • Cinnamon pairs especially well with vanilla or caramel-flavored protein.
  • Slice the apple thinly and sprinkle with cinnamon for extra sweetness.
  • If your protein powder clumps in hot liquid, dissolve it first in 1–2 tbsp cold water before adding coffee.
